Golf Club with Restaurant | Full-Time | On-Site
Position Summary
Local golf club with grille is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented QuickBooks Certified Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping operations for a private/public golf club with restaurant and hospitality operations. This is a full-time, on-site position responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, supporting payroll, and assisting management with timely financial reporting.
The ideal candidate has strong QuickBooks experience, understands bookkeeping for hospitality, restaurant, retail, or club operations, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple revenue streams.
Key ResponsibilitiesBookkeeping & Accounting
- Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks.
- Record daily sales activity from golf operations, restaurant/bar, events, memberships, pro shop, and other revenue centers.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, merchant processing deposits, and cash receipts.
- Post accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Prepare and process vendor payments.
- Track deposits, member payments, invoices, and outstanding balances.
- Maintain organized digital and physical accounting records.
Restaurant & Club Operations Support
- Reconcile daily point-of-sale reports for restaurant, bar, golf, and retail operations.
- Monitor cash handling records and identify discrepancies.
- Assist with inventory-related bookkeeping for food, beverage, merchandise, and supplies.
- Track gratuities, service charges, house accounts, gift cards, and event deposits as applicable.
- Coordinate with department managers to ensure accurate coding of expenses and revenue.
Payroll & HR-Related Accounting
- Assist with payroll processing, timekeeping review, payroll deductions, and payroll reporting.
- Maintain payroll-related records for hourly, salaried, seasonal, and tipped employees.
- Support compliance with wage, tip, and overtime recordkeeping requirements.
- Coordinate with outside payroll providers, accountants, or HR support as needed.
Reporting & Month-End Close
- Prepare monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow summaries, and budget comparisons.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Review general ledger activity for accuracy.
- Prepare reports for ownership, management, board members, or outside accountants.
- Assist with annual tax preparation, audits, insurance reviews, and financial planning.
Administrative Support
- Communicate professionally with vendors, members, customers, staff, and management.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial, payroll, employee, and member information.
- Assist with license renewals, insurance documentation, sales tax filings, and other administrative finance tasks.
- Support special projects as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- QuickBooks Certification required.
- Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online and/or QuickBooks Desktop.
- Experience with bank reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general office software.
- Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a golf club, country club, restaurant, hospitality, resort, retail, or food and beverage environment.
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems, golf management software, merchant services platforms, and payroll systems.
- Experience tracking tipped employees, service charges, event deposits, memberships, and house accounts.
- Knowledge of sales tax, payroll tax, and hospitality-related accounting practices.
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, or related field preferred.
Work Schedule
- Full-time, on-site position.
- Monday through Friday schedule preferred, with occasional flexibility required during month-end, year-end, events, or peak club operations.
- This position is not remote.
Compensation
Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and certification level.

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
