Charge Entry Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Charge Entry Specialist to join our healthcare team. The Charge Entry Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate billing and charge entry for patients. This position will support clinical, coding, and billing teams by reviewing charge documents for accuracy and entering charges into our billing management system promptly and efficiently.

In person preferred will consider remote with exceptional experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and process charge documents for accuracy.

• Enter charges into the billing management system in a timely manner.

• Collaborate with clinical, coding, and billing teams to ensure seamless workflow.

• Provide clerical expertise and support to enhance the quality of patient care.

• Serve as an intermediary in communication between system users to ensure the EHR/clerical applications meet functional requirements.

Qualifications:

• Experience with EHR/clerical application systems.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.

• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 1 year of coding, billing, and/or charge entry experience in the healthcare field is required.
• Familiarity with third party billing requirements and payment policies is preferred.
