Chargehand - Maintenance (Construction)

The Chargehand – Maintenance is responsible for supervising and executing day-to-day maintenance activities at the construction site, ensuring timely repairs, preventive maintenance, and smooth operation of all site facilities, equipment, and utilities. The role involves coordinating with technicians, workers, and subcontractors to maintain high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

• Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians, helpers, and subcontractors in carrying out daily tasks.
• Perform and oversee preventive, corrective, and routine maintenance of site equipment, utilities, and facilities.
• Ensure timely repair of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and civil works issues reported on-site.
• Allocate daily tasks, monitor progress, and report delays or issues to the Maintenance Supervisor/Engineer.
• Maintain records of maintenance requests, completed works, spare parts usage, and tools.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards, company policies, and client requirements during maintenance activities.
• Conduct inspections to identify maintenance needs and initiate corrective actions.
• Provide hands-on support for critical or urgent repairs.
• Liaise with procurement for required materials, spares, and tools for maintenance activities.
• Train and guide technicians and helpers on safe work practices and quality standards.
• Support in preparing daily/weekly reports on maintenance progress and issues.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED2,500.00 per month
