Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare a variety of high-quality dishes in line with the café’s menu and standards.
- Supervise kitchen staff, delegate tasks, and ensure smooth daily operations.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety (HACCP compliance).
- Monitor stock levels, order ingredients, and manage inventory efficiently.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared, cooked, and presented on time and to the highest standards.
- Control food costs and minimize waste.
- Develop new recipes and contribute to menu innovation based on customer feedback and trends.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to maintain skill and consistency.
- Coordinate with management to ensure kitchen operations align with overall business goals.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a café, restaurant, or catering setup.
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and safety protocols.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Creativity and attention to detail in food presentation.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts
