CHEF / COOK (Rawalpindi & Islamabad)

Position: Professional Chef
Location: Rawalpindi & Islamabad
Organization: College of Tourism & Hotel Management (COTHM)

Job Summary:
COTHM is seeking a skilled and experienced Professional Chef for its Rawalpindi and Islamabad Campuses, to oversee kitchen operations and deliver high-quality, nutritious meals. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, strong culinary expertise, and the ability to manage kitchen processes efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and prepare nutritious meals in line with established standards
  • Develop menus and introduce innovative dishes based on seasonal availability
  • Ensure timely food preparation and service
  • Handle food preparation for catering and special events
  • Maintain kitchen hygiene and comply with food safety regulations
  • Manage inventory, procurement, and food storage (FIFO method)
  • Monitor food costs and ensure cost-effective operations
  • Supervise and guide junior kitchen staff
  • Oversee maintenance and proper use of kitchen equipment

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Chef
  • Relevant diploma or certification in Culinary Arts (preferred)
  • Minimum qualification shall be intermediate
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety standards
  • Ability to manage kitchen operations and work under pressure
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Creative approach to menu planning and presentation
  • Strong communication skills
