Chef De Partie

A Chef de Partie is responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen (e.g., grill, pastry, sauces) and ensuring high-quality food preparation, consistency, and presentation. They supervise junior staff and maintain hygiene and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes within your specialty section
  • Manage and oversee a specific kitchen station (e.g., hot kitchen, pastry, garde manger)
  • Ensure all food is prepared to the highest quality and consistency
  • Assist in menu planning and development
  • Supervise and train Commis Chefs and kitchen assistants
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering ingredients
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Commis Chef ready for promotion
  • Culinary degree or equivalent training preferred
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen operations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
