JOB SUMMARY:

The Chef de Partie is responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen and ensuring high standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene. The CDP supports the Sous Chef and Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and team supervision.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Take full responsibility for the assigned kitchen section (Hot, Cold, Pastry, Grill, etc.)
  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to menu standards and recipes
  • Ensure consistent food quality, taste, and presentation
  • Supervise and guide Commis Chefs and kitchen helpers
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene as per food safety standards (HACCP)
  • Control food portioning and minimize wastage
  • Assist in stock control, ordering, and inventory management
  • Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items
  • Follow health, safety, and company policies at all times
  • Coordinate with other sections to ensure smooth kitchen operations

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and cooking techniques
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Culinary certification is an advantage

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Flexible working hours including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to stand for long hours and handle kitchen equipment safely
