The Chemical Engineer – Sales is responsible for promoting, marketing, and selling chemical products and technical solutions to clients across industrial sectors. The role involves combining technical expertise in chemical engineering with strong sales acumen to understand customer requirements, recommend appropriate products or solutions, and drive revenue growth while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients in the chemical, manufacturing, oil & gas, water treatment, and related industries.
  • Understand client needs and provide tailored chemical and technical solutions in line with product specifications and application requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to explain value propositions effectively.
  • Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and delivery schedules with customers while ensuring profitability and adherence to company policies.
  • Collaborate with technical and production teams to customize solutions, manage product trials, and address technical issues.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, monitor competitor activities, and analyze market trends.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and performance metrics to support management decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards related to chemical handling and product applications.
  • Participate in trade exhibitions, industry events, and marketing activities to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Strong understanding of chemical processes, formulations, and industrial applications.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets and manage key accounts effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
  • Valid UAE driving license (preferred).
