Chemical Field Technician - Dosing & Monitoring

Overview

We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Chemical Field Technician to perform on-site chemical dosing, monitoring, and equipment servicing for industrial processes. The ideal candidate will ensure safe and efficient handling of chemicals and maintain the performance of dosing systems in compliance with industry and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out chemical dosing for water treatment, pipelines, cooling systems, or process equipment.
• Monitor and adjust chemical levels, pH, conductivity, corrosion, and scaling parameters at regular intervals.
• Operate and maintain chemical dosing pumps, control panels, flow meters, and storage tanks.
• Collect and test water, oil, or gas samples using portable test kits and report deviations.
• Prepare and refill chemical tanks according to safety guidelines (MSDS compliance).
• Record daily dosage logs, readings, and performance data for reporting.
• Support troubleshooting of dosing equipment and coordinate with maintenance for repairs.
• Follow HSE protocols during chemical handling, storage, and disposal.
• Provide support during audits and inspections at the customer site.
• Liaise with client representatives and report operational issues to the supervisor.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma / ITI in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in field-based chemical dosing and monitoring operations.
• Familiar with corrosion inhibitors, biocides, scale inhibitors, and other treatment chemicals.
• Ability to operate testing kits and basic lab instruments (pH meter, TDS meter, etc.).
• Good knowledge of industrial safety standards and PPE requirements.
• Physically fit and willing to work in outdoor/field environments, including remote sites.
• Strong record-keeping and communication skills.
