Chess Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Chess Teacher to inspire learners of all ages through the strategic and engaging game of chess. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging chess curricula tailored to various age groups and skill levels
• Conduct classroom lessons and one-on-one tutoring sessions that promote active learning and strategic thinking
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning atmosphere
• Assess students’ progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their growth
• Organize chess competitions, tournaments, and extracurricular activities to encourage participation and teamwork
• Communicate clearly with students, parents, and colleagues about lesson plans, progress, and upcoming events
• Maintain organized records of student attendance, performance, and achievements

Skills

• Proven experience in teaching or tutoring chess, with the ability to adapt lessons for different age groups
• Strong classroom management skills to maintain an engaging and disciplined environment
• Excellent communication skills to clearly explain game strategies and concepts
• Ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels
• Experience in adult education or childcare is a plus, demonstrating versatility in teaching approaches
• Familiarity with classroom experience or working directly with students in educational settings
• Passion for fostering critical thinking, patience, and enthusiasm in learners of all ages

Pay: $27.15 - $100.00 per hour
