Chief Accountant

Position Title: Chief Accountant – Construction / Contracting Sector
Experience Required: 10+ years (minimum 5 years in construction/contracting)

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting – prepare and present accurate financial statements and reports.
• Lead and manage the accounting department, ensuring compliance with company policies and UAE laws.
• Supervise and control all daily accounting operations including AP, AR, GL, and payroll.
• Review and approve invoices, purchase orders, supplier payments, and subcontractor accounts.
• Monitor cash flow, receivables, and payables, ensuring proper collection and payment cycles.
• Prepare and analyze monthly/quarterly financial statements and MIS reports.
• Handle VAT compliance, returns, and coordination with auditors.
• Liaise with banks for LCs, BGs, loans, and other financial facilities.
• Ensure internal controls are properly implemented and maintained.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to management for strategic decision-making.

Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance (Master’s degree preferred).
• Professional qualifications such as CA / CMA / CPA will be an added advantage.

Other Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of accounting experience, with a strong background in construction/contracting.
• Prior UAE/GCC experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, compliance, and project cost control.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
• Language: English & Arabic

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
