Chief Accountant

Job Title: Chief Accountant – Property Development & Real Estate
Location: Sharjah, UAE

Salary: AED 7,500 – 10,000

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Chief Accountant with a strong background in property development and real estate. The ideal candidate will oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, taxation, compliance, and audit management while ensuring adherence to UAE financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Accounting

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (IFRS compliant)
• Manage accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger
• Conduct financial analysis and support management decision-making

Taxation & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT and corporate tax laws
• Handle tax filings, audits, and coordination with external auditors
• Maintain updated knowledge of UAE financial regulations

Cash Flow & Treasury

• Monitor and manage company cash flow
• Oversee banking transactions and reconciliations
• Implement cash flow forecasting strategies

Budgeting & Cost Control

• Assist in annual budgeting and financial forecasting
• Conduct variance analysis and implement cost control measures

Audit & Internal Controls

• Manage internal and external audits
• Develop and maintain strong internal control systems

Team Management

• Supervise and mentor accounting staff
• Ensure proper implementation of accounting procedures

Requirements

Education & Certification

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance
• CA, CPA, ACCA, or CMA (Qualified or Part-Qualified – Required)

Experience

• 7+ years in accounting and finance
• Minimum 3 years in a senior role within real estate/property development

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS, UAE VAT, and corporate taxation
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, QuickBooks, or similar)
• Audit and financial reporting experience

• English
• Urdu or Hindi

Internal Hiring

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED7,500.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
