Position: Chief Financial Officer

Location: South Portland, ME

Job Description:

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a strategic thought-partner and participative manager, partnering with senior leadership for Connections for Kids. Reporting to the Executive Director, the CFO guides decision making and operations to enhance the agency’s quality, maximize and strengthen internal capacity, and continue to grow our well-respected, high-impact mental health organization. This person leads and develops the internal team supporting accounting, finance, business planning, and budgeting, and oversees all financial, project/program, and grant accounting.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a BA required; Master’s degree preferred.
• At least five years of supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of business management, nonprofit/grant accounting, financial planning, and implementation.
• Knowledge of MaineCare and insurance billing.
• Knowledge of not-for-profit accounting (U.S. GAAP) and applicable federal regulations.
