Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Position Summary

The CFO will serve as a strategic leader responsible for managing the entire financial and operational accounting functions of the organization. With at least 10 years of experience in the real estate sector, the ideal candidate will bring expertise in end-to-end financial management, project financing, and industry-specific accounting practices. The role requires proficiency with modern treasury solutions, ERP systems, and payment platforms to optimize financial operations and ensure compliance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Leadership:

§ Develop, implement, and oversee financial strategies aligned with the company’s growth objectives.

§ Advise the executive team and Board on financial planning, risk management, and investment opportunities.

Operational Accounting & Finance Management:

§ Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and project-specific accounting.

§ Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting in accordance with relevant standards (GAAP, IFRS).

§ Maintain robust internal controls and compliance procedures.

Real Estate Development & Project Finance:

§ Monitor project budgets, costs, revenues, and profitability throughout the development lifecycle.

§ Coordinate with project teams and external financiers to secure and manage project funding and refinancing.

§ Conduct financial feasibility analyses for new projects and investments.

Technology & Systems Management:

§ Leverage Treasury Management Systems (TMS) for cash management, forecasting, and risk analysis.

§ Utilize ERP systems to integrate and streamline financial data across departments, ensuring data integrity and real-time reporting.

§ Implement and manage payment platforms for efficient and secure payment processing.

Risk Management & Compliance:

§ Establish risk mitigation strategies and internal controls to safeguard assets.

§ Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards.

§ Lead internal and external audit processes.

Team Leadership & Development:

§ Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance and accounting team.

§ Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accuracy, and accountability.

Stakeholder & Reporting:

§ Prepare detailed financial reports, dashboards, and analysis for internal and external stakeholders.

§ Support investor relations and fundraising activities.

Qualifications & Experience

§ Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional certification preferred.

§ Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance and accounting within the real estate sector.

§ Proven expertise in end-to-end financial management, project finance, and industry-specific accounting practices.

§ Strong knowledge of real estate valuation, funding, and investment analysis.

§ Hands-on experience with Treasury Management Systems (TMS), ERP systems, and payment platforms.

§ Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills.

§ Proficiency with financial modeling and industry-specific financial software
