Job Description
The Chief Information Officer (CIO) leads the vision, strategy, and management of all information technology (IT) systems and services at NATIVE HEALTH. This role ensures IT initiatives align with organizational goals, supporting patient care, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Develop and implement a fully integrated technology ecosystem, ensuring robust data exchange between core platforms.

Provide leadership in organization-wide IT standards, programs, and systems to achieve strategic objectives and outcomes.

Direct IT staff, holding them accountable for meeting performance targets and completing objectives.

Oversee cybersecurity protections, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH).

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop partnerships, resolve problems, and promote positive relationships across the organization.
Qualifications-
A master’s degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Additionally, a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or cybersecurity is preferred.

Minimum of 10 years of progressive IT leadership experience, including at least 5-7 years in a senior leadership role within a healthcare provider organization.

Proven experience with EHR implementation, optimization, and management (e.g., NextGen)

Proven history of successfully managing large-scale IT projects and initiatives.

Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, HITECH).

Experience with healthcare data analytics and business intelligence tools.
Standard Employment Requirements:
-
Must possess a valid and unrestricted Arizona driver’s license (within 30 days of hire if the applicant is from out of state) with no DUI/DWI or reckless driving convictions in the past five years. No more than two at-fault accidents in the last three years. Must maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license during employment. Must be insurable under NATIVE HEALTH’s liability auto policy.

Must pass a criminal background check and obtain a Class I Fingerprint Clearance Card within the first ninety (90) calendar days of employment and maintain a valid card for the duration of employment with NATIVE HEALTH.

Must pass substance abuse testing upon employment and submit to random testing during employment.

Must provide an up-to-date immunization (IZ) record upon employment.

Must have a current Tuberculosis (TB) skin test report within the past 12 months upon employment and provide an annual update.

Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 calendar days of employment and maintain certification during employment.
