Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure excellent patient care.
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate nursing leadership and staff across departments.
- Monitor and improve patient safety, care quality, and satisfaction metrics.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as accreditation standards (e.g., The Joint Commission).
- Manage nursing department budgets, staffing plans, and resource allocation.
- Drive initiatives to improve nurse recruitment, retention, and professional development.
- Collaborate with other executives to support organizational goals and initiatives.
- Serve as a key liaison between the nursing staff and hospital administration.
- Lead efforts in innovation, evidence-based practice, and healthcare technology integration.
- Participate in strategic planning and organizational leadership meetings.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master's degree in Nursing (MSN), Healthcare Administration (MHA), or a related field required. Doctorate (DNP or PhD) preferred.
- Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of nursing experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Certifications: Nurse Executive certification (e.g., NE-BC or NEA-BC) preferred.
