Chief of Staff to the President

About Children’s Surgery Center

Children’s Surgery Center (CSC) is a leading ambulatory surgery center (ASC) organization specializing exclusively in pediatric dental surgery. Our state-of-the-art ASCs provide safe, high-quality surgical care to children under general anesthesia across multiple states.

As CSC continues to expand its national footprint, we are seeking a highly driven and execution-focused Chief of Staff (CoS) to the President to help drive enterprise priorities, accelerate growth initiatives, and ensure operational consistency across all locations.

Position Overview

The Chief of Staff to the President serves as the President’s senior execution partner. This role is responsible for driving operational alignment, ensuring disciplined follow-through, and reinforcing performance accountability across CSC’s multi-state ASC network.

The CoS translates enterprise strategy into measurable outcomes, identifies execution gaps in real time, and increases organizational velocity — all while preserving clear functional ownership within leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities President Priority Execution

  • Translate President-led initiatives into structured execution plans and roadmaps
  • Define ownership, timelines, and measurable success metrics
  • Track progress and proactively address execution gaps
  • Identify barriers to execution and drive timely resolution

Performance Visibility & Operational Discipline

  • Maintain visibility into:
  • Case volume optimization
  • Block utilization
  • Anesthesia coordination
  • Scheduling efficiency
  • Cancellation mitigation
  • Staffing alignment
  • Identify performance variances across locations and develop corrective action plans
  • Conduct targeted site visits to assess operational rigor and adherence to CSC standards
  • Reinforce workflow consistency, training adherence, and throughput expectations

Growth & Market Readiness

  • Support ramp-up tracking for new ASC launches
  • Monitor operational readiness milestones prior to go-live
  • Ensure infrastructure, staffing models, and scheduling capacity are aligned ahead of expansion

Cross-Functional Integration

  • Coordinate across Operations, Clinical Leadership, Finance, Marketing, and HR
  • Prevent siloed execution of enterprise priorities
  • Clarify accountability and drive measurable follow-through

Executive Leverage & Strategic Support

  • Structure leadership meetings around performance metrics and execution updates
  • Track action items and ensure commitments to the President are fulfilled
  • Prepare concise operational summaries and performance analyses to inform executive decision-making

Travel Expectations

  • Travel will vary based on partnership development, site visits, and expansion activity
  • Regular travel is required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Healthcare Administration, Economics, or related field preferred)
  • 5–7+ years of experience in healthcare, operations, or business development environments
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel regularly
