Role Description

The Chief Risk Officer will be responsible for overseeing and leading the development, implementation, and maintenance of the risk management framework within a licensed entity. This leadership position is crucial for ensuring that the organization effectively identifies, assesses, manages, and mitigates risks across all areas of the business including operational, financial, regulatory and strategic risks. The individual in this role will collaborate with senior leadership and key stakeholders to promote a risk-aware culture and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex risk-related information to senior leadership and regulators.
• Work experience: at least 5 years of extensive experience in risk management in licensed financial institution or bank.
• Proven experience in managing risk across multiple domains (credit, operational, market, liquidity, and regulatory).
• Experience in dealing with regulatory bodies and handling audits and compliance assessments.
• Professional Qualifications required: Financial Risk Manager (FRM) or Professional Risk Manager (PRM), or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

Relocation: Relocating to Bahrain is a must.
