What You’ll Do

As a Lead Teacher, you’ll be a cornerstone of our center’s success:

Create a safe, loving, and stimulating classroom where every child feels seen and supported.
Deliver high-quality early childhood education tailored to each child’s developmental needs.
Maintain full compliance with NC Division of Child Development and Health Department standards.
Foster strong relationships with families and team members to build a thriving learning community.

What We're Looking For:

Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, required. AA/AAS degree in Early Childhood or related field as defined by DHHS Division of Child Development Education unit.
Experience: Minimum of 2-year verifiable experience in a childcare center, or years of experience working with children up to 12 years of age, required.
Licensure/Certification:
- NC Credentials or equivalency defined by regulatory compliance Division of Child Development Workforce Unit, required.
- Adult and Pediatric CPR/First Aid within 2 months of hire, required.
- ITS SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) within 2 months of hire (infants up to 12 months of age)of age), required.
Additional Skills (required):
- DHHS NC Division of Child Development Criminal Background Letter (required renewal every 5 years), and Workforce letter (within 60 days of hire) or education verification until workforce letter is obtain.
- Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.
- BSAC required for those working with school age children. CDL for school age if driving the buses.· NC Division of Child Development Qualifying Letter/Criminal Background letter · NC Division of Child Development Workforce letter within 2 months of hire · NC Institute for Child Development Professional ECE Certification within 2 months of hire
- CDL license (if hired for driving buses) and working with school age children.
- Maintain training hours requirements as outlined by the Division of Child Development
Additional Skills (preferred): Playground Safety training
