Child Care Teacher

Thursday 7:45-5:00, 2-hour lunch

Friday 7:45-5:00, 2-hour lunch

Also, available occasionally on other weekdays.

Full-time position available in May 2026

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Childcare Assistant teacher to join our amazing team. As a Childcare Provider, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of children in our care. As well as performing cleaning and cooking duties. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young children.

Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and educational programs
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, and naptime
- Assist with diaper changes and potty training
- Monitor children's behavior and address any disciplinary issues
- Collaborate with parents to ensure open communication and meet the children's needs
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
- Administer basic first aid when necessary

Skills:
- Experience working with children of various ages, including infants and preschoolers
- Knowledge of child development principles and practices
- Ability to create engaging and educational activities for children
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to handle challenging behaviors
- Understanding of behavior management techniques
- Familiarity with special education needs is a plus

Requirements:
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Previous experience in childcare or child-related field is preferred

-ECE college units or an associate's degree or higher preferred, or currently enrolled in ECE classes
