A to Z Building Blocks is hiring a Support Teacher who can confidently step into any classroom and help keep the day running smoothly for children of all ages, including infant care, toddler, preschool, and school age. This role is ideal for someone who is flexible, dependable, and passionate about working in a professional daycare and early childhood education setting.

What You’ll Do

Support Lead Teachers in implementing research-based curriculum and intentional learning experiences
Help maintain safe, nurturing, and structured routines across classrooms
Assist with learning centers, circle time, preschool activities, and classroom transitions
Prepare and serve meals and snacks and monitor children during mealtimes
Support diapering, potty training, and hygiene routines
Follow schedules to ensure children have enough physical activity, rest, and intentional learning
Maintain daily cleaning and keep classrooms sanitary and safe
Communicate and collaborate with teachers, leadership, and families
Maintain regular and punctual attendance

What We’re Looking For

Caring, compassionate, and patient
Flexible and able to multitask in a busy child care environment
Calm, reliable, and able to handle classroom needs or emergencies
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Comfortable supporting any age group and moving between classrooms as needed

Qualifications

Food Handler Permit
First Aid and CPR
20 hours of approved child care training
Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs; sit on the floor and move quickly as needed
