Duties
- Develop and execute age-appropriate lesson plans that promote childhood development, early learning skills, and social-emotional growth.
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and structured activities to ensure safety and engagement.
- Implement classroom management strategies to foster positive behavior and address behavioral challenges effectively.
- Provide attentive toddler care, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that supports learning and safety standards.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress, milestones, and any concerns.
- Administer basic first aid when necessary and respond promptly to emergencies or health issues.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing inclusive caregiving.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in daycare settings or similar environments such as babysitting or nannying.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not already held.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education is a plus.
- Strong classroom experience with toddlers, infants, or preschool-aged children.
- Excellent classroom management skills coupled with compassionate caregiving abilities.
- Ability to handle behavior management challenges with patience and professionalism.
