Child Care Teacher

Job Summary

You’ll work with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children, fostering their development through structured activities, play, and exploration. As part of our team, you’ll also collaborate with parents to ensure the best possible outcomes for each child.

Duties

• Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times in a fun and engaging environment.
• Plan and implement creative, age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development.
• Provide individualized care for infants and toddlers, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed.
• Use positive reinforcement techniques to effectively guide and support children’s behavior.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom that encourages curiosity and learning.
• Build strong relationships with parents by communicating regularly about their child’s progress and any concerns.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of child development.

Education Requirements

CDA credential, Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, or currently in the process of obtaining one.

Experience & Qualifications

• Previous experience in a child care setting such as a daycare center or preschool is preferred.
• Strong skills in infant care, toddler care, behavior management, and general caregiving.
• Familiarity with basic first aid and safety procedures is a plus.
• Experience nannying or working with children in other caregiving roles is beneficial.
• A passion for early childhood education and creating a nurturing, engaging learning environment is essential.
