Child Care Teacher

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Child Care Teacher to join our early learning team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in early childhood education and a deep commitment to nurturing young minds. This role involves creating a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment where children can thrive through engaging, developmentally appropriate activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that foster cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development.
• Provide attentive, high-quality care to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Foster positive and trusting relationships with children through play-based learning and individualized attention.
• Monitor and guide children's behavior using supportive and effective behavior management strategies.
• Maintain open and regular communication with parents or guardians regarding each child’s progress, milestones, and any concerns.
• Keep the classroom clean, organized, and welcoming to support an effective learning environment.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to continuously enhance the program and participate in regular meetings and training.
• Adapt activities and routines to support children with disabilities or diverse learning needs.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (required).
• Solid understanding of child development principles and best practices in early learning.
• Prior experience in a child care or educational setting.
• Knowledge of caregiving techniques, including infant and toddler care.
• Experience supporting children with disabilities is a plus.
• Strong behavior management and conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members.
• A commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive, and respectful environment for all children and families.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,000.00 - $71,000.00 per year
