Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Montessori Toddler Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in early childhood education with experience in Montessori Education and a genuine love for working with young children.
This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of preschool-aged children. The Toddler classroom supports 8 -12 Toddlers between the ages of 16 months to 3 years old.
The Toddler Teacher will work closely with the director and classroom assistants to create a stimulating and safe Montessori learning environment. The Toddler Teacher will work closely with students and parents to support families and children at school and to align with the school's mission to have a warm, welcoming, and supportive educational community.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate Montessori lessons and materials, that align with Montessori principles and childhood education standards.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment for all students.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents regarding their development.
- Facilitate Montessori-based learning experiences and prepare Montessori based activities to support the learning and development of each individual child.
- Maintain classroom organization and cleanliness to ensure a conducive learning atmosphere.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and share best practices.
- Support children with disabilities or special needs by adapting teaching methods as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Communicate effectively with fellow staff members and director to ensure an effective learning environment and school culture.
Qualifications
- Completed (or in process) a MACTE Accredited Montessori Training Program/Certificate for Toddlers (0 -3) and hold a Bachelor's Degree in any field.
- Alternatively, hold a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or closely related field with experience working in Montessori Classroom Environment with toddlers.
- &/or Experience in childcare settings such as babysitting, nannying, or working with Toddlers.
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in a classroom setting is essential.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Organizational ability to create engaging lesson plans tailored to the needs of diverse learners.
- Strong communication & administrative skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff members.
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching young children are crucial attributes for success in this role.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
