Child Care Teacher (Part-Time)

Duties

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote childhood development and learning through play, exploration, and structured activities
  • Provide attentive care to children, ensuring their safety, well-being, and emotional security at all times
  • Manage classroom activities effectively, maintaining positive behavior management strategies and classroom management techniques
  • Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing inclusive caregiving tailored to individual requirements
  • Administer basic first aid when necessary and communicate with parents or guardians about their child's progress or concerns
  • Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independence
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan educational activities and share best practices in early childhood education and caregiving

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or classroom settings is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education methods
  • Certification in first aid and CPR required; additional training in special education or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to foster positive behavior and social skills among children
  • Experience caring for infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children demonstrating patience and nurturing qualities
  • Ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and developmental needs
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members
