Child Care Worker

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Provider to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of childhood development. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. The Childcare Provider will be responsible for fostering positive relationships with children and their families while promoting learning through play and structured activities.

Duties

• Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
• Provide care for infants and toddlers, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
• Implement behavior management strategies to support positive interactions among children.
• Assist with daily routines, including feeding, diapering, and nap time for younger children.
• Create lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom or play area conducive to learning.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
• Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities to meet their individual requirements.
• Foster social skills through group activities and cooperative play.

Requirements

• Experience working with children in various settings such as daycare, preschool, or as a nanny.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
• First aid certification is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
• Ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively while promoting a positive environment.
• Experience in behavior management techniques to support children's emotional well-being.
• Strong communication skills to interact with both children and parents effectively.
• Background in special education or experience working with students with disabilities is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.25 per hour
