Childcare & Family Assistant

Schedule: Part-Time (Weeknights & Weekends)

Position Overview:

A single parent with 50% custody of school-aged children is seeking a reliable and organized Childcare & Family Assistant to provide dependable childcare and household support on custody days. This position is focused on carrying out childcare and household tasks under the parent’s guidance to ensure smooth routines and consistent care.

Primary Duties:

Childcare

• Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities
• Assist with school pick-up and drop-off as needed
• Support children’s evening routines as directed by the parent, including homework assistance, meal times, and preparation for the next school day
• Supervise and assist with weekend activities, outings, and play

Household Support

• Support meal preparation and cleanup
• Assist with light household tidying, laundry, and organization
• Ensure children’s school clothes, bags, and supplies are ready each day
• Provide general household assistance to support smooth family routines

Qualifications

• Strong reliability and attention to detail
• Ability to follow direction and carry out established routines
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (for school/activity support)
• Flexibility for evening and weekend availability
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
