Responsibilities
- Support lead teachers in implementing curriculum development tailored to early childhood education standards.
- Assist with classroom management to ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children of various ages, including toddlers and preschoolers.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning through play, hands-on experiences, and structured lessons.
- Help with lesson planning and preparation to ensure smooth daily routines and effective educational delivery.
- Support children with special education needs and participate in early intervention strategies to foster their development.
- Maintain open communication with children, parents, and staff to promote child welfare and address individual needs effectively.
- Ensure adherence to daycare policies, health and safety regulations, and classroom procedures at all times.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or private school setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and classroom management techniques.
- Familiarity with curriculum development, literacy education, and teaching physical education activities.
- Experience supporting children with special needs or participating in early intervention programs is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and engage with young learners.
- Classroom experience involving lesson planning, tutoring, or standardized testing support is beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to nurture a positive learning environment through behavior management strategies and child welfare practices. Pay: $13.75 - $16.00 per hour
