The Program Specialist is part of each center’s management team and is responsible for assisting the director, supporting classroom quality and maintenance, and supporting teacher development. They are advocates for teachers, helping connect what is happening in the classrooms with the director and other management members.
Responsibilities:
· Work with Center management on day-to-day operations and coverage of the center as needed.
· Assist in training New Hires in classrooms on the curriculum and CCQS Orientation.
· Facilitate curriculum in the center by rolling out themes and providing support for teachers.
· Ensuring Child Care Quality Standards are upheld in each classroom by working with teachers on training and goals.
· Work with the Director to create special care plans for kids who may need one.
· Assist the Management team in creating a safe & motivating work environment to encourage staff retention.
Requirements:
· Must have a minimum of CDA, NAC, or equivalent, and 1 year in early childhood education, and required courses for the Bureau of Child Care Licensing.
· Professionalism, sufficient maturity, and good judgment to function in crises.
· Sensitivity to individual and group needs of children.
· Ability to supervise and create an atmosphere of positive and appropriate discipline for staff and children.
· Ability to communicate with parents effectively.
· Ability to drive a 14-passenger bus or van.
· Ability to manage the center in a Director's absence or as needed.

Pay and Benefits.
· Pay: Our pay rates are competitive with the industry, and there are opportunities for bonuses and pay increases throughout the year. The pay rate is dependent on experience and other factors for each applicant. (Child Care needs, full or part-time, shift availability, etc.) We also offer paid holiday and accrued Paid Time Off.

· No Evenings or Weekend Shifts: Most of our centers are not open evenings or weekends. Generally, the position would be M–F, depending on the center's needs.
· Flexible Schedules: We have consistent schedules and can be flexible, working around other obligations like school, family needs, etc.
· Training and Support: Your initial training is paid and more than doubles state requirements. We encourage and support ongoing education and, in many situations, provide tuition assistance.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
