Childcare Provider

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Provider to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. The ideal candidate will have a passion for childhood development and experience working with children. This role involves engaging children in educational activities, ensuring their safety, and supporting their emotional and social development.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
• Provide attentive care for the children.
• Maintain a clean and organized environment.
• Assist children with personal hygiene and daily routines.
• Foster an inclusive atmosphere for children of all abilities, including those with disabilities.
• Ensure the safety of all children by adhering to health and safety guidelines.
• Keep records of children's progress and any incidents that occur during care.

Requirements

• Experience in childcare settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles is essential.
• Familiarity with first aid practices is a plus; certification is encouraged.
• Ability to provide care for children.
• Experience working with children with disabilities is highly valued.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with both children and fellow caregivers.
• Patience, creativity, and the ability to work well under pressure are crucial traits for success in this role.
• A background in early childhood education or related fields is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in home community care, daycare, residential, or other childcare.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred.
• Ability to perform patient observation effectively, recognizing changes in condition or behavior.
• Strong cooking skills to prepare nutritious meals tailored to client dietary needs.
• Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach towards caregiving.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently while following care plans.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
