Chiropractic Assistant / Front Desk

Position Overview

The Front Desk Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for patients in a fast-paced, high-volume chiropractic clinic. This individual ensures a smooth and efficient patient flow, provides exceptional customer service, and supports the clinical and administrative teams by managing scheduling, payments, and patient records.

This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain professionalism under pressure.

Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Experience & Communication

  • Greet patients warmly and create a welcoming, professional environment.
  • Check patients in and out efficiently while maintaining accuracy.
  • Verify patient information, insurance details, and necessary documentation.
  • Answer and route phone calls, text messages, and emails promptly.
  • Educate patients on office procedures, appointment schedules, and wellness plans.

Scheduling & Coordination

  • Manage a high volume of appointments using chiropractic scheduling software.
  • Maintain smooth patient flow by coordinating with chiropractors and assistants.
  • Reschedule missed or canceled appointments to maintain patient retention.
  • Track and follow up with inactive patients to re-engage their care plans.

Financial & Administrative Duties

  • Maintain daily financial reconciliation and submit end-of-day reports.
  • Manage patient files — both electronic and paper — with confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Assist with data entry, inventory, and other administrative support as required.

Operational Support

  • Keep the front desk and reception area clean, organized, and professional.
  • Monitor supplies and notify management of replenishment needs.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and team development sessions.
  • Support marketing and community outreach initiatives as needed.

QualificationsRequired

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–3 years of front desk, medical office, or chiropractic office experience.
  • Strong multitasking, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills — both verbal and written.
  • Comfort with electronic health record (EHR) systems and scheduling software.
  • Professional demeanor and polished customer service presence.

Preferred

  • Experience in a chiropractic, physical therapy, or wellness environment.
  • Familiarity with chiropractic terminology and patient flow.
  • Basic understanding of health insurance billing and verification.

Schedule

  • Monday–Friday with occasional Saturday shifts as needed.
