Church Nursery Caregiver

We are seeking caring, reliable individuals to help provide a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment for young children in a church nursery setting. Nursery caregivers support families by caring for infants and toddlers during Sunday morning services.

Shifts take place on Sundays between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM, typically lasting 2–3 hours. Caregivers may serve at churches located in the Mound, Wayzata, and Orono areas.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and care for infants and young children in the church nursery
• Engage children through age-appropriate play, reading, and activities
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized nursery environment
• Comfort children as needed and communicate respectfully with parents/guardians
• Follow nursery safety procedures and check-in/check-out protocols
• Work collaboratively with other nursery staff or volunteers

Qualifications:

• Experience caring for infants or young children preferred (babysitting, childcare, teaching, etc.)
• Warm, patient, and attentive demeanor
• Reliable and punctual for scheduled Sunday shifts
• Ability to interact positively with children and families

Position Details:

• $16-$18
• Sundays only
• Shifts between 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
• Typical shift length: 2–3 hours

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
