Position Summary:
The Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Analyst is responsible for supporting the Headquarters’ Marine Corps (HQMC) CIP Program. The program plays an integral role in achieving mission assurance (MA) and complements other HQMC programs concerning risk management, such as: Antiterrorism, Readiness, Information Assurance (IA), Continuity of Operations (COOP), Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Consequence Management (CBRN CM), and Installation Emergency Management.
Furthermore, the CIP Analyst is responsible for supporting I Marine Expeditionary Force (I MEF) Commander, with onsite and offsite support and may travel within the U. S. and overseas as necessary. The CIP Analyst is responsible for supporting military and DOD civilian leaders in planning, organizing and coordinating CIP and MA program requirements. The CIP analyst develops briefings, reports, and guidance documents to support the identification and validation of critical assets. This position is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for CIP, Marine Corps Critical Asset Management System (MCCAMS) and MA topics. The SME may assist in reviewing military headquarters’ plans, policies, and directives, to ensure compliance with DoD policies and directives. Support may also consist of developing white papers, position papers, and briefings.
