Our team in Space & Defense is looking for an Offshore Supply Specialist to join them. You will report to the Supply Chain Manager and will have an onsite work schedule in Blacksburg, Virginia.
As an Offshore Supply Specialist, you will:
Serve as the program coordinator for our offshore contract manufacturer. This includes providing a build schedule to our offshore site(s) as identified by the master schedule and working with them to ensure schedule is met, identifying constraints and reaching across multiple departments to solve obstacles.
Identify possible production shortfalls, if applicable, and report issues to management in a proactive and timely manner.
Process requisitions to our offshore site(s). This process includes, but is not limited to cost analysis, approval process, and purchase order generation.
Assist in the resolution of problem invoices.
Maintain purchasing, and supplier qualification SOPs and checklists.
Enforce and follow policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements as they pertain to purchasing.
Providing reports to management on weekly and monthly production commitments, shortages, and/or expenditures.
Employee will be cross trained to help in other areas as needed.
Any other tasks as assigned by direct supervisor or General Manager.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
To be considered for the Offshore Supply Specialist, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:
Bachelor’s degree
3 years of coordinating experience
Experience in Microsoft Excel and utilizing mathematical skills
Demonstrated attention to detail in task execution
Proven ability to analyze situations and solve problems efficiently
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining organization
Professional composure in challenging situations
Ability to travel internationally (up to 1 week per quarter)

Salary Range Transparency:
Blacksburg, VA $50,000.00–$70,000.00 Annually
