About the team

Ninjakirana team is a large and diverse team which is trying to solve the problems in the supply chain ecosystem with the retailer centric approach offering credit opportunities, supply solutions, market linkages, price discovery across fresh segments. This growth engine will fuel the next phase of Ninjacart’s journey in cementing its place in the industry as an innovation and execution leader. This is a team which is a mix of Business, Execution, Category, Product, Analytics and brings a mix of speed and innovation to solve tough problem statements.

The City Head will own the P&L for the city/region and lead sales, procurement, and operations for the Fruits category. The role involves driving growth across channels (GT, Wholesale, MT, Quick Commerce), ensuring efficient sourcing from mandis/farmers, and meeting customer demand through strong execution.

Responsibilities

• Own city-level P&L & deliver revenue, margin, and profitability targets
• Drive business across Kirana, Mandi, Modern Trade, and Quick Commerce segments
• Forecast demand accurately and plan procurement accordingly
• Build and expand distribution across multiple sales channels
• Manage and mentor the city sales and operations team
• Track prices, competitors, and seasonal trends to optimize performance
• Ensure smooth fulfillment, inventory control, and minimal wastage
• Coordinate with the procurement team to get the right quality with right prices

• 5–10 years of experience in Agri, Fresh Produce, or FMCG sectors
• Strong understanding of mandi/Kirana ecosystem and multi-channel sales
• Proven ability to manage P&L and lead cross-functional teams
• Establish a network of loyal customers for sales for our stock
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and execution skills
