Overview
We are seeking a Civil Construction Project Manager with CONNDOT experience to lead and oversee complex construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in civil construction, excellent project management skills, and proficiency with industry-standard software tools. Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of civil construction projects, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Oversee construction site activities, maintaining safety standards and quality control throughout all phases of work.
- Manage contracts, change orders, and procurement processes utilizing Construction estimating tools like HeavyBid or similar software.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with design specifications and safety regulations.
- Facilitate effective project coordination through clear communication of timelines, deliverables, and responsibilities.
- Ensure timely resolution of issues related to project scheduling, resource allocation, or technical challenges.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in civil construction management with a strong understanding of construction site operations.
- Proficiency with project management tools including Primavera P6, Primavera P3, ProCore, Bluebeam, Civil 3D, HeavyBid or equivalent software.
- Solid knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction drawings.
- Experience managing contracts and understanding legal aspects related to construction projects.
- Demonstrated ability in project scheduling, cost estimation, and construction estimating techniques.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating teams and liaising with clients or stakeholders.
- Familiarity with construction safety standards and site inspection procedures.
