1. Drawing Production and Drafting

  • Shop Drawings: Create comprehensive and detailed Shop Drawings for all civil and structural elements (e.g., rebar schedules/details, formwork drawings, foundation plans, retaining walls, grading plans, storm drainage, and utility layouts).
  • Conversion: Translate engineering calculations, schematic designs, sketches, and marked-up red-line drawings provided by the Civil Engineer into precise 2D and, where required, 3D CAD models/drawings.
  • Detailing: Develop intricate construction details and sectional drawings to clarify complex components for site execution.
  • Coordination: Overlay and coordinate civil drawings with architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to identify and resolve potential spatial conflicts or clashes under the guidance of the Civil Engineer.

2. Documentation and Revision Management

  • Drawing Register: Maintain an organized and current drawing register, ensuring that all revisions are accurately tracked, recorded, and distributed to the relevant site and office personnel.
  • As-Built Drawings: Prepare and finalize As-Built Drawings by incorporating all site changes, modifications, and approved deviations during the construction phase.
  • Standard Compliance: Ensure that all drafting work adheres to project standards, company drafting procedures, drawing layers/protocols, and relevant local authority regulations.
  • Drawing Submissions: Assist the Technical Engineer in compiling and formatting drawing packages for official submittal to the Consultant/Client for review and approval.

3. Technical Support and Collaboration

  • Quantity Take-offs: Assist the Quantity Surveyor or Civil Engineer by preparing clear drawing markups and sectional views necessary for accurate material take-offs and cost estimation.
  • Field Data Incorporation: Accurately incorporate survey data, field measurements, and site verification checks into the technical drawings.
  • Problem Resolution: Work with the Technical Engineer to quickly generate revised drawings or alternative detail sketches to address unforeseen site conditions or technical issues.
