Civil Draftsman (Preparation for Structural Architectural ID Layouts)

A civil draftsman prepares detailed technical drawings and plans for civil engineering projects like roads, bridges, and infrastructure by using CAD software. Their main duties include translating designs into precise blueprints, collaborating with engineers and architects, ensuring drawings comply with regulations and standards, and managing project documentation. They also visit sites, assist with cost estimates, and revise drawings based on feedback. Key duties and responsibilities

• Create technical drawings: Prepare detailed and accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings, plans, and layouts for civil engineering projects. This includes topographical maps and detailed plans for structures, roads, and other infrastructure.
• Use CAD software: Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD, to create and modify drawings and plans.
• Collaborate with professionals: Work closely with civil engineers, architects, surveyors, and construction teams to interpret designs and ensure accuracy.
• Ensure compliance: Verify that all drawings and plans adhere to project specifications, building codes, industry standards, and other regulations.
• Revise and update drawings: Modify existing drawings based on feedback from engineers or changes in project requirements.
• Manage documentation: Maintain organized and accurate records of all drawings, revisions, and related project information.
• Visit project sites: Conduct site visits to gather information, verify design specifications, and support the construction team.
• Assist with project management: Help prepare project reports, cost estimates, and schedules.
• Stay updated: Keep current with new drafting technologies, industry trends, and relevant codes and standards.
