Civil Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer with a strong background in large-scale solar energy projects and a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in civil engineering. The ideal candidate must have prior experience working in Saudi Arabia, with demonstrated expertise in solar farm construction, site development, and civil infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee civil design, planning, and execution of utility-scale solar projects from conception to commissioning.
• Supervise site development activities including grading, foundations, road construction, drainage systems, and fencing.
• Coordinate with EPC contractors, consultants, and local authorities to ensure compliance with Saudi regulations and international standards.
• Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Conduct site visits, surveys, and inspections to monitor progress and quality control.
• Provide technical support during procurement and construction phases.
• Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Lead or support civil engineering teams, subcontractors, and construction personnel on site.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree is a plus).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with at least 2 years on solar projects in Saudi Arabia.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi building codes, environmental regulations, and local permitting procedures.
• Experience with civil engineering design tools (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, STAAD Pro, etc.).
• Proven ability to work in desert environments and remote project locations.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous work on large-scale solar PV or CSP projects.
• Familiarity with project management tools and software.
• PMP or similar certification is a plus.
