Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Civil Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will support complex litigation cases, manage legal documentation, and assist attorneys in case preparation and research. This role offers an opportunity to work across diverse areas of law, including personal injury, family law, environmental law, and more, within a collaborative and professional environment. The position is paid and requires a proactive approach to legal case management and administrative support.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with case preparation, including drafting legal documents, pleadings, and discovery responses
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools
  • Manage case files through document review, organization, and electronic filing within document management systems such as Clio
  • Support litigation processes by coordinating depositions, interviews, and court filings
  • Maintain accurate data entry and document management for multiple cases simultaneously
  • Perform administrative duties including scheduling, calendar management, and correspondence with clients and courts
  • Review contracts, legal documents, and other pertinent materials for accuracy and compliance
  • Proofread legal documents for clarity and correctness; assist with transcription when necessary
  • Support project management initiatives related to ongoing cases or firm-wide legal projects

Experience

  • Paralegal experience in a law office setting is required; experience supporting civil litigation is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with legal administrative experience including document review, case management software (e.g., Clio)
  • Proven research skills using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and related platforms
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently
  • Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence
  • Experience with project management tools and legal case management systems is advantageous
  • Knowledge of various practice areas such as personal injury, workers’ compensation law, and medical malpractice
  • Proficiency in clerical tasks including filing, data entry, proofreading, transcription, phone etiquette, and general administrative support

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
