A Civil Project Engineer with infrastructure expertise is responsible for planning, designing, coordinating, and managing civil engineering projects such as roads, bridges, utilities, drainage systems, and other large-scale infrastructure works. The role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with technical and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee infrastructure construction projects from initiation to completion
- Review engineering designs, drawings, and technical specifications
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and stakeholders
- Supervise site activities and ensure compliance with design and safety standards
- Monitor project progress, schedules, and budgets
- Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues on-site
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, codes, and environmental standards
- Prepare reports, progress updates, and documentation for management
- Assist in tendering, procurement, and contract administration
- Implement quality control and assurance procedures
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory)
- 7+ years of experience in civil/infrastructure projects (Mandatory)
- Experience in roads, highways, bridges, drainage, or utilities projects
- Knowledge of construction methods and materials
- Familiarity with project management tools and engineering software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Project, etc.)
- Understanding of local construction codes and standards (UAE/GCC experience preferred if applicable)
