Description

Trustpoint.one has partnered with a growing company in their search for a team of contract attorneys to join their organization on a temporary, part-time basis. This remote position is an exciting opportunity for attorneys with a passion for civil rights. The temporary attorneys will be responsible for duties that include:

  • Providing legal support regarding basic civil rights and criminal law matters
  • Preparation and review of legal documents
  • Direct engagement, via video conferencing, with clients and members of law enforcement
  • Documentation and reporting following video call engagements

The qualified temporary attorney will have the following qualifications:

  • Membership, in good standing, of at least one US State Bar
  • Interest in federal civil rights, constitutional law or criminal law
  • Strong aptitude for listening; good note taking skills
  • Private, dedicated workspace and laptop with internet and video capabilities
  • Ability to commit to a fixed work schedule for the first 30 days of this assignment
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus, but not required
  • All candidates must be able to work at a computer screen for a sustained amount of time

This is an exciting opportunity for attorneys who are interested in civil rights advocacy and who have a desire to provide legal support to individuals. Role is a minimum of 4 hours per week at $25 per hour. This position allows for flexible work and is a great way for an attorney to supplement their private practice.
