About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Civil Technician to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Civil Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our engineering projects by assisting with design, drafting, and field inspections.

• Prepare and modify engineering drawings using AutoCAD or similar CAD software
• Assist in the collection and analysis of field data for various civil engineering projects
• Conduct site inspections and document findings to ensure compliance with project specifications and local regulations
• Create and maintain project documentation, including reports, charts, and maps
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to support project planning and execution
• Utilize GIS software to create and update spatial data for project planning and analysis
• Perform basic engineering calculations and quantity takeoffs
• Assist in the preparation of technical reports and presentations

What do we need from you

• Associate's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or related field
• 2-3 years of experience in civil engineering or a related field
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software
• Experience with GIS software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong technical drawing and drafting skills
• Ability to collect and analyze data efficiently and accurately
• Knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices
• Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in the UAE
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Relevant certifications (e.g., NICET, EIT) preferred
• Willingness to work on construction sites and perform field inspections in various weather conditions
