About the Role


We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Civil/Earthworks Inspector to join our team in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of civil engineering and earthworks projects in the region.

  • Conduct thorough inspections of earthworks, site preparation, and civil engineering projects to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and local regulations • Perform quality control checks on materials, workmanship, and construction methods • Monitor and document construction progress, identifying any deviations from approved plans or potential issues • Liaise with contractors, engineers, and project managers to address and resolve construction-related concerns
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports, including observations, test results, and recommendations • Verify that all work meets health and safety standards and environmental requirements • Attend site meetings and provide technical input on construction matters • Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and other project documents • Ensure adherence to local building codes and regulations in Saudi Arabia


What do we need from you


  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field • Minimum of 10 years' experience in civil engineering or construction inspection, with a focus on earthworks and site preparation projects • Profound knowledge of civil engineering principles, earthworks, and construction techniques • Strong understanding of quality control and assurance procedures in the construction industry • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications with precision
  • Excellent report writing skills and proficiency in relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Office)
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in Saudi Arabia • In-depth knowledge of health and safety standards in construction • Professional certification in construction inspection (e.g., NICET, RICS) is preferred • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work efficiently and remain organised in a fast-paced environment • Willingness to work on-site in various weather conditions
