Civil Inspector - Roads

Position Overview

The Civil Inspector – Roads Construction & Supervision will be responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and reporting on all road construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and MOT requirements. The role requires strong field supervision skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate effectively with contractors, consultants, and project engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site inspections for road construction works, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
• Monitor contractor activities and verify adherence to MOT standards and project requirements.
• Inspect materials, workmanship, and construction methods to ensure quality control.
• Review and report on progress, site issues, and non‑conformities.
• Assist in verifying quantities, measurements, and completed works for billing and documentation.
• Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, and QA/QC teams to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure proper implementation of safety procedures and environmental guidelines on site.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, logs, and daily reports.
• Participate in site meetings and provide updates on inspection findings.
• Support final inspection, punch‑list preparation, and project handover activities.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in road construction and supervision.
• Experience with MOT (Ministry of Transport) projects is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of road construction processes, materials, and inspection procedures.
• Familiarity with Saudi codes, MOT specifications, and local authority requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Strong reporting, communication, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently on site and manage multiple inspection tasks.
• Valid Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration is an advantage.
