Claims Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Contracts & Claims professional to support major construction and infrastructure projects across the GCC and Middle East region. The successful candidate will be responsible for contract administration, claims management, delay analysis support, and contractual advisory throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts, claims preparation and assessment, variation management, and dispute support within complex construction environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer construction contracts and provide contractual advice to project teams.
• Review contract conditions, identify risks, and recommend mitigation measures.
• Prepare, review, and assess Extension of Time (EOT) claims and cost claims.
• Support the preparation of contractual notices, submissions, and correspondence.
• Analyze project records, delays, disruptions, and variations.
• Assist in claims strategy development and dispute resolution processes.
• Coordinate with planning, commercial, and technical teams for claims substantiation.
• Review subcontractor claims and contractual entitlements.
• Maintain proper contractual documentation and records.
• Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and stakeholders regarding contractual matters.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Law, or related field.
• Minimum 10-17 years of experience in contracts and claims within construction, infrastructure, power, or engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC and standard forms of contract.
• Experience in delay analysis and claims preparation is highly preferred.
• Excellent report writing and contractual communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
• Previous GCC or international project experience is an advantage.

Preferred Skills

• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
• Experience in arbitration/dispute support is a plus.
• Familiarity with planning tools such as Primavera P6 is beneficial.
• Professional certifications such as MRICS, PMP, or similar are advantageous.
