A Construction Claims Manager for Planning (Planning & Claims Manager) oversees project schedules, analyzes delays, and prepares Extension of Time (EOT) or cost claims, primarily using Primavera P6. They bridge planning and commercial teams to minimize financial exposure, manage contract risks (FIDIC), and ensure compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delay Analysis: Conduct schedule risk assessments and critical path analyses to identify, quantify, and document delays.
  • Claims Preparation: Prepare, submit, and defend Extension of Time (EOT) and cost claims,, ensuring contractual compliance.
  • Schedule Management: Review contractor schedules, monitor baseline progress, and ensure timely, accurate forecasting.
  • Contract Administration: Review and negotiate claims with clients, subcontractors, and consultants, acting as a liaison with legal teams.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project records, including minutes of meetings, requests for information (RFIs), and change orders.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Law.
  • Experience: 5-10+ years in construction, with significant experience in project planning, scheduling (Primavera P6), and contract administration.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of FIDIC contracts, claims methodology, and construction law.
  • Skills: Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Successful approval of EOT/cost claims.
  • Accurate, up-to-date project schedules and risk logs.
  • Timely identification of potential contractual disputes.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED15,000.00 per month

Experience:

  • Construction Industry in UAE: 5 years (Required)
  • High Rise Building Project in UAE: 5 years (Required)
