Job Summary

The Motor Claims – Recoveries Executive is responsible for managing and executing the recovery of motor insurance claims from third-party insurance companies and through legal channels where applicable. The role ensures that recovery targets and timelines are achieved in accordance with defined standards, actuarial expectations, and company procedures while maintaining high accuracy and compliance levels.


Key Responsibilities

  • Register third-party vehicle damage claims with appropriate reserves in the system.
  • Identify and flag potential fraudulent claims for further investigation.
  • Monitor and achieve target Turnaround Times (TATs) in the recovery process across key activities.
  • Respond promptly to notifications and communications received from third-party insurers.
  • Examine and settle third-party insurer (TPI) claims within the defined TATs.
  • Record and book all recovered claims accurately and within set timelines.
  • Follow up regularly with third-party insurance companies to ensure successful claim recoveries.
  • Manage periodic (monthly/quarterly) exchanges and reconciliations with insurance companies.
  • Coordinate with internal departments such as Legal, Finance, Motor Assessment, and Motor Settlement to resolve claim-related issues.
  • Handle rejected, legal, and personal recovery claims efficiently, ensuring compliance with internal processes and legal requirements.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the motor claims department, with exposure to recoveries and third-party claim handling.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective negotiation and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of motor claims recovery processes and documentation.
  • Problem-solving and discrepancy resolution.
  • Data entry and record-keeping accuracy.
  • Ability to build rapport and maintain professional relationships with third-party insurers.
  • Customer service and internal stakeholder support.
  • Familiarity with insurance systems and recovery workflows.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Fluent in English.
