Class 1 Driver

Here at GXO Logistics, we are looking for a skilled HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team in Bedford, supporting our customer, WHSmith. This is a great opportunity to play an important part in keeping stores supplied and customers moving forward, every day.

You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, following an ‘Any 5 days from 7’ shift pattern, with start time window of 12:00 to 23:59, contracted to work 45 hours per week.

What you will do on a typical day:

• Deliver and collect goods to and from customer stores, including airports, hospitals and service stations (1 – 5 drops per shift)
• Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner
• Complete all necessary paperwork correctly, in full and on time
• Be compliant with Driver’s hours, Tachograph, Working Time, and Road Traffic Act regulations

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Full UK driving licence with category C+E entitlement
• No more than 6 current penalty points
• No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements within the previous 5 years
• Previous experience driving category C vehicles is desirable
